Wicker Park's Crust Pizza Shuts Down

Owner blames high rent, financial difficulty

While Charlie Trotter was announcing the closing of his restaurant on New Year's Eve, another Chicago spot was serving its last meal.

Wicker Park's Crust Pizza whipped up it's last pie Saturday night.

Eater Chicago reports that the Division Street restaurant's owner blamed high rent in the area as the reason for closing.

The organic restaurant was open for four-and-a-half years.

Also closing its doors for good on New Year's Eve due to financial problems was Clarendon Hills restaurant Maijean.
