A man and woman were carjacked at gunpoint Friday in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood—and the pistol-packing thieves were caught on video.
Two people in dark clothing approached the blue Honda Civic, occupied by a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, about 11:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Julian Street. One of the crooks displayed a gun and then took the keys and car, police said. The second bandit also had a handgun and took personal property from one of the victims, police said.
One of the offenders took off in the stolen Civic while the other got in another dark colored vehicle and fled in an unkown direction.
Area North detectives were investigating, police said.
