Who Opens a Vinyl Record Store in Chicago in 2012?

The headline asks the key question at the core of the recently opened Printer's Row shop, Hydrogen Plus Records. As owner and South Side native Patrick Schwer explains, it's a passion project for him, but it's an endeavor that he believes in wholly.

In fact, Schwer projects that the store will be profitable by June, which is no small feat (especially since it opened in December), and due largely to the fact that the store's entire staff is him -- and he's almost always there. I popped over to Hydrogen Plus to talk to Schwer about what inspired him to chase his dream and what brought him to this point.
