What Chicago Bears Players Did on Their Summer Vacations

It turns out football players like to do the same things you do when you take off time from work. Grizzly Detail talked to several Bears about their summers, and they all fit the common themes of relaxing vacations and spending time with their family.

Matt Forte took his wife and infant daughter to the Bahamas. Major Wright headed to Cancun, and rookie Khaseem Greene went to Las Vegas, though he stayed away from the casino floors.

"No, I'm not one to sit at those tables. I'd be confused!" Greene said.

Chris Conte spent time in his native California for his brother's wedding.

"My brother's wedding, by far was the best thing. It was in Napa. Just played golf, and just enjoyed the weather and being around family and all that."

Joe Anderson has been turning heads as a wide receiver on the field. Off it? He just likes to spend time with his son.

"Playing with my son was the best part of the summer. Be goofy with him. He's got plenty of energy. We go to the park, or play around. I do whatever he likes to do. He's one. He's very smart, and he's very tall."

Adam Podlesh gave his young daughter a new experience.

"My wife and I took my daughter Addison, she's about nine months, we took her to a pool, for the first time. She had a blast. She's kicking, she almost got her swimming legs. She had a blast. That was pretty cool," he said with a smile. So is she the next Missy Franklin?

"She might need some more height. She's not getting it from my side."
