Wesley Korir, an elected member of the Kenyan Parliament, will make his seventh appearance in Chicago, the most of any elite athlete in the field.

Career highlights include his second-place finish at the 2011 Chicago Marathon followed by his victory in Boston in 2012 and his fifth-place finish and personal best, 2:06:13, in Chicago in 2012.

Korir is a two-time winner of the Los Angeles Marathon in 2009 and 2010 and a graduate of the University of Louisville.
