Weekend: Take it Back to the Old Skool

SPIN THIS: Head to the West Loop this weekend for the CHIRP Record Fair. The ninth annual event focuses on all things vinyl from dozens of vendors, but the organizers have broken down and also showcasing CDs, DVDs, artwork, posters and more. Live musicians and DJs will perform both days. The whole shebang benefits CHIRP (Chicago Independent Radio Project), is dedicated to providing a respite from the corporate shill you often hear on the radio dial. PIN-UP GALS: Ladies, turn yourself into a glamorous pin-up retro girl at Dottie's Delights all-day extravaganza Saturday at The 900 Shops. Guests will receive free makeovers, pin-up hair 'dos by Mario Tricoci Salon and mini photoshoots and photoshoots on a first come, first serve basis. 10am - 7pm, 900 North Michigan Ave., 5th Floor, FREE

GENUINE FUN: Downtown upscale party mavens Genuine Entertainment celebrates its two year anniversary with a celebration at N9NE Steakhouse Saturday. Sounds provided by DJ Jernell Geronimo and $20 gets you a ticket for a cocktail. 9 p.m., 440 West Randolph St

HELP JAPAN: Market Restaurant & Bar (1113 West Randolph St) hosts a "Hope for Japan" benefit Saturday with proceeds benefiting the Red Cross. $30 admission includes an open bar between the hours of 8-10 pm and a complimentary raffle ticket and passed apps.

DENIM DUDS: Break out your favorite jeans -- tops and bottoms -- for The Double Demin Bar Crawl Saturday in Wrigleyville. The $10 crawl kicks off at Sluggers Bar (3450 N. Clark St.) and includes prizes such as Best Denim Outfit, a Double Denim Dance off and various raffles. Proceeds benefit the Chicagoland Chapter of Autism Speaks.
