Say it ain't snow! Your calendar may read late April, but the Chicago area is in for yet another round of winter weather Saturday.
A Winter Storm Warning was issued for McHenry and Lake counties in Illinois from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. A Winter Storm Watch was issued for DeKalb, Kane, DuPage and Cook Counties in Illinois warning of a "potent storm system" that could dump anywhere from 4 to 8 inches of "heavy, wet" snow. The watch begins Saturday afternoon and continues through the evening for most counties.
In DeKalb, the watch begins Saturday morning.
A Winter Storm Warning was also issued from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday for Kenosha County in Wisconsin, warning of 5 to 7 inches of snow.

Wind gusts as high as 35 mph are possible and snowfall rates could approach 1 to 2 inches per hour, the watch warned. Traveling during the system could be hazardous.

Saturday looks to begin overcast and cold with temperatures between 42 and 47 degrees. Light to moderate rain develops in the morning and continues through the afternoon.
Temperatures fall into the 30s and that rain will mix with sleet or wet snow later in the afternoon and evening, mainly in the northern half of the metro area.
The mix of snow, sleet and rain is expected to leave some accumulation beginning in the evening before it tapers off and ends overnight.
The winter weather could leave anywhere between 3 and 5 inches of snow on the ground in areas north of I-88, but southern counties will see little to no accumulation.

Sunday will provide a bit of relief, with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs between 45 and 50 degrees.
But don't put the boots and umbrellas away too quickly - the work week starts overcast and looks to stay that way, with showers likely each morning from Monday to Thursday.
