The late science fiction author Ray Bradbury has left his personal collection of books to the Waukegan Public Library.
The "Fahrenheit 451" author was born in the Chicago suburb in 1920. He died last year at age 91. The library found out after Bradbury's death that he had bequeathed it his collection. Library official Rena Morrow says there are plenty of books. She says "every room had a bookshelf overflowing."
Morrow says the library may receive some of Bradbury's personal belongings too.
Staffers want to build a permanent Bradbury exhibit at the library.
Waukegan already has a park named after Bradbury and the library holds a yearly Ray Bradbury Storytelling Festival on Halloween.
