Chicago Police Issue Warning After Man Sexually Abused Girl on Pink Line Platform

The man is described as medium build, just over 6-feet tall and last wearing blue ripped jeans, a red or maroon sweatshirt and slide-on sandals.

A community alert issued Tuesday night by Chicago police warned residents about a predator who sexually abused a girl this week at a CTA Pink Line train stop.

Police said a man in his late teens approached a girl at about 8:30 am. Monday on the Pink Line Western station platform and "sexually abused her as he performed a lewd act."

The man is described as medium build, just over 6-feet tall and last wearing blue ripped jeans, a red or maroon sweatshirt and slide-on sandals.

Police are reminding residents to be aware of their surroundings, walk in groups and dial 911 to immediately report suspicious activity. Never pursue a fleeing assailant, police said. Instead provide the information to police.

Riders told NBC 5 they are keeping a vigilant eye open.
