Warmer Weather, More Snow on the Way

After a brutally cold week, the Wind Child Advisory is finally set to end on Saturday, with temperatures rising through the weekend.

Saturday will start out chilly, and wind chill temperatures will likely remain below zero throughout most of the day. By the end of the day, however, wind chill temperatures will rise above zero and the high for the day is 17 degrees.

Temperatures will continue to rise into Sunday with a high of 29 degrees. More snow is in the forecast for Sunday as well, but it will fall just south of Chicago.

The snow will start to fall around 6 p.m. Sunday and continue through Monday morning with a possible 1- to 1.5-inch accumulation.

Temperatures will begin to cool again as the snow falls, with a high of around 20 degrees on Monday. On Tuesday, temperatures will fall back into the teens, but they will be back in the 20s and low 30s for the rest of the week.
