Up to an Inch of Rain Expected in Parts of Chicago Area By Saturday Morning

Rain began to fall Friday night across parts of the Chicago region and was expected to continue and even intensify in some areas.

The rain will spread from the east to the northeast—some of which will become heavy at times—particularly along and south of I-80.

An inch of rain is expected in some areas by Saturday morning.

Winds will get up to 40 mph and a limited threat of lightening and flooding will be present south of I-80.

Saturday will see a 40 percent chance of rain—particularly in the morning hours—with a high of 44 degrees.
