A former University of Chicago student remains on the loose after he allegedly stabbed his roommate multiple times in the Hyde Park neighborhood, police said.

Ross Jacobs, 27, is accused of stabbing his roommate, also 27, several times on Friday at about 3 p.m. in an apartment in the 5400 block of South Hyde Park. The roommate survived the attack, but he was severely injured, according to police.

After the attack, Jacobs fled the scene and remains at large.
