Two kids were found alone in an alley in Chicago late Monday night, according to police.
The 5-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy were found shortly before midnight in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood in the 800 block of West Newport Avenue, authorities said. A passerby found the children and called police.
The boy and girl were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where they were listed in good condition.
Police said the children’s father was found inside a home, but it was not immediately clear why the kids were outside alone.
As of Monday morning no charges had been filed and the Department of Children and Family Services had been notified, police said.
