Two Dead After Wrong-Way Driver Slams Into Car In Indiana

Alcohol believed to be a factor

A woman and a man died after a wrong-way crash on I-65 in Crown Point, Indiana Sunday morning.

Indiana Police said around 1:30 a.m., a silver 2015 Kia was heading northbound in the southbound lanes at mile marker 247 when it struck a 2015 Corvette head on.

The driver of the Corvette, who has not been identified, died at the scene, and his passenger was transported to Franciscan Health hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

The driver of the Kia was identified as 21-year-old Anna R. Warner of Beaverville, Illinois.

Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash.
