Police continue to search for two more offenders in the robbery of a 7-11 store in the 500 block of North Halsted

Two men have been charged in the robbery of a convenience store on the city's Near West Side early Friday morning.

Mitchell Thomas, 24, and Jamie Branch, 23, were arrested after leading police on a chase following the robbery at a 7-11 store in the 500 block of North Halsted at about 2:55 a.m. When police arrived at the convenience store, they found a group of thieves attempting to rob the store.

Police are pursuing two other men in connection with the robbery as well.
