Water seeped into the first floor of Trump International Hotel & Tower Thursday morning in Chicago after a pipe burst.
A photo of the scene showed wet wood floors, though any flooding was considered minor.
Around 9:30 a.m. maintenance staff was seen cleaning the water in the condo tower lobby.
T. Colm O’Callaghan, vice president and managing director at the building at 401 N. Wabash Ave., said in a statement the incident occurred after a test of the sprinkler system.
"During a routine test of the sprinkler system at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago this morning, a pipe burst near the west public parking entrance, which is separate from the main entrance of the building," O’Callaghan said. "The water source has been turned off and a crew is actively working to clean up the water and make the necessary repairs."
Hotel and residential services were not affected, he said.
