Trick-or-Treating Hours 2016: Chicago's Suburbs

If you're planning on trick-or-treating in the suburbs, many places in the Chicago area have set times depending on where you live. 

Participating homeowners are urged to leave an outdoor light on to let families know they are celebrating the holiday. 

Official times for trick-or-treating vary by city, with most towns starting right after school. 

Communities that have released a set time include: 

Aurora: 4 – 7:30 p.m.

Buffalo Grove: 2 – 7 p.m.

Burr Ridge: 3 – 8 p.m.

Clarendon Hills: 3 – 7 p.m.

Darien: Before dark 

Elgin: 4 – 7 p.m.

Elmhurst: 3:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Hinsdale: Before dark

La Grange: 3 – 7 p.m.

La Grange Park: 3 – 8 p.m.

Lombard: 3 – 7 p.m.

Mundelein: 4 – 8 p.m.

Naperville: No set hours

Oak Brook: 3 – 7 p.m.

Oakbrook Terrace: 2 – 6 p.m.

Westchester: 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Western Springs: 3 – 8 p.m.

Willowbrook: 3 – 7 p.m.
