More Transformers 3 Filming This Weekend

Michael Bay and company aren't done with their cinematic takeover of Chicago.

The movie shoot for Transformers 3 will continue this weekend, bringing street closures and transit reroutes.

From 8 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. on Monday, Wacker Drive between Wabash and State, and Wabash between Wacker and Lake will be closed for filming.

Eleven Chicago Transit Authority routes will temporarily be detoured to adjacent streets during the street closures. 

The routes are:  #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #122 Illinois Center/Ogilvie Express, #123 Illinois Center/Union Express, #124 Navy Pier, #134 Stockton/LaSalle Express, #135 Clarendon/LaSalle Express, #136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express, #144 Marine/Michigan Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express.

Filming will include simulated gunfire, smoke, fireballs and explosions, officials said.

"Transformers 3" is slated for release next June or July.
