A massive fire tore through a residential area in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood early Tuesday, authorities say.
Chicago police originally said that a transformer caught fire at around 2:25 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Hudson Avenue.
Police later said the fire may have originated in a trash can. The cause of the blaze remained under investigation Tuesday morning and further details were not immediately available.
No injuries were reported, police said. There were no displacements.
