Several Trains Delayed Due to Switch Problems at Union Station

Trains were delayed at Chicago’s Union Station during the afternoon rush hour Monday after Metra reported switch problems outside the station.

Several Metra lines were affected by the delays, which reached up to 25 minutes for some.

Metra said in an alert to riders that switch problems outside the station were causing the delays. The agency apologized “for this inconvenience.”

It was not immediately clear how long the delays would last.
