CTA Brown Line Service Resumes After Train Derailment Thursday

The train derailed near the 4700 block of N. Kimball, transit officials announced, just after 7 a.m.

A train derailment caused CTA Brown Line service to be suspended between Kimball and Belmont Thursday morning.

The train derailed near the 4700 block of N. Kimball, transit officials announced, just after 7 a.m.

Service resumed around 10 a.m. with "residual delays," according to the CTA.  

There were no passengers on board, officials said.
