A popular Top Chef alum has his sights set on Chicago.
Fabio Viviani, who competed on Season 5 of the Bravo reality show, is planning open an Italian restaurant in River North early next year.
Siena Tavern will be located at 51 W. Kinzie Street, and is being created in conjunction with the DineAmic Group (Bull & Bear, Public House).
The restaurant will pair Viviani's culinary philosophy with the energy of a bustling bar, according to a news release.
The 10,000 square foot space features six distinct areas, including a crudo/pizza bar with an open kitchen.
Viviani is a veteran of several food and entertainment concepts in his native Italy and in Los Angeles.
