Tonight: Party With Dennis Rodman

Plus, Bridge House Tavern opening, music memorabilia and mixology class

DJ DENNIS: In this case the late bird gets "The Worm" as Dennis Rodman hits The Mid to host the kickoff of the club's Thursday night DJ event. We're pretty sure Rodman won't actually be spinning, but DJs Sye Young, Torio and Gus Karas are more than capable of picking up the slack. 10pm–4am, 306 N Halsted, RSVP here. $10 after 11 p.m.

GRAND OPENING: Bridge House Tavern celebrates its grand opening with a party that includes complimentary  beer and passed appetizers from 5-7 p.m. Enjoy live music on the riverside patio and a floating performance from local band South of 80, who will pull up and play on a boat. Bar specials after 7 p.m. 321 North Clark, NO COVER

MELODY MAKERS: Hard Rock's 40th Anniversary Memorabilia Tour rolls through Chicago today featuring actual items from some legendary rockers you've probably heard of like Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and John Lennon, as well as some of today's hottest artists like Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry. Forty pieces of music memorabilia will be featured, including clothes, lyrics and historic instruments. 63 W Ontario, NO COVER

MIX IT UP: Uncle Fatty’s Rum Resort is helping its patrons become the hit of the party this summer with a series of classes that will turn you into a master mixologist in no time. Every Thursday in June, guest teachers from the Chicago Bartending School will train you on how to make everything from the perfect Mai Tai to the classic Margarita. 8 p.m., 2833 N.
