Chi-Town Rising will ring in the New Year with a series of events and activities leading up to the main event when the clock strikes midnight.
The ticketed event, presented by Corona Extra and hosted by Hyatt Gold Passport, will be held along the Chicago River between Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive, with a Countdown Stage on the south side of the river and a midnight countdown featuring a giant Chicago star rising into the sky.
The celebration will be televised live on NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago beginning at 11 p.m. on Dec. 31. Attendees can also celebrate and share their NYE moments on social media using #ChiTownRising.

3 p.m. to 6 p.m.: The Family Countdown Celebration will finish out the family-friendly portion of Chi-Town Rising from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Millennium Park. Family-friendly events, including ice-skating, will take place in Millennium Park for the entire three hours.
7 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Live music will be performed on the Countdown Stage, featuring local artists from Chicago and music from club and concert veteran DJ Sye Young. iHeart Radio will also broadcast live from the Countdown Stage on KISS-FM.
7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: Partygoers with special tickets can enjoy the Corona Extra Beach House, which features music from a live DJ, cash bar, a warm view of the Countdown Stage and Rising Star, a dinner buffet and a complimentary glass of Ruffino Prosecco at midnight.
8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: Guests staying with the official Chi-Town Rising hotel partners can get exclusive access to "Broadcast Boulevard" on Upper Wacker near Michigan, where they can experience the TV Audience Zone.
11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: A live broadcast will air on NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago featuring celebrity guests, musical performances, a look back at 2015, a New Year's toast, the Rising Star and an epic fireworks display. NBC 5's broadcast begins at 11:08 p.m.
11 p.m.: American Authors will open the TV performance set on the Countdown Stage.
Midnight: The legendary rock band Chicago will usher in the New Year on the Countdown Stage as the Rising Star ascends 36 stories up the Hyatt Regency Chicago's West Tower. A fireworks show will also begin at midnight.
