‘The Devil Wears Prada' Musical to Premiere in Chicago

The musical is expected to run from July 14 through Aug. 16

“The Devil Wears Prada” new Broadway musical is set to premiere next summer in Chicago, with a score by Elton John, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The musical is based on the popular 2006 movie starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, which grossed more than $300 million worldwide.

It is set to debut in July 2020 at the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago.

The Tribune reports that the lead producer is Kevin McCollum, the score is by Elton John, featuring lyrics by Shaina Taub and a book by Paul Rudnick.

“As previously reported, the director will be Anna D. Shapiro, artistic director of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company,” the Tribune said.

The musical is expected to run from July 14 through Aug. 16.
