Teen Bicyclist Critically Hurt in Ravenswood Crash

The teen was riding through the intersection of Montrose and Western when they were hit

A teenage bicyclist was hit by a vehicle and critically injured Thursday in Ravenswood on the North Side.

The 17-year-old was riding in the intersection of Montrose and Western avenues about 2:05 p.m. when they were struck by a vehicle, according to preliminary information from Chicago police and fire officials.

The cyclist was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, officials said.

Additional details about the crash have not been released.
