Suspect Caught on Camera Snatching Razzmatazz Blueprints

On surveillance video, the suspect can be seen wearing a baseball cap and headphones in the indoor sports facility at 39th and Ashland.

The owner of a Razzmatazz Family Fun Center is looking for a suspect who took blueprints for a new bar and restaurant being built in the complex.

On surveillance video, the suspect can be seen wearing a baseball cap and headphones in the indoor sports facility at 39th and Ashland. The person walks right through the front door of the amusement complex.

“He walks straight down here, all the way to the end of Razzmatazz,” said Mike Widell, Owner and GM of Razzmatazz. “He went over here and there were these sheets of plans laying right out on the counter.”

Widell said the suspect started taking pictures of the plans, then rolled them all up and stuffed them in his backpack.

“It was very shocking. Who would come in and take the plans?” Widell said.

Widell said the place was busy that Tuesday night and nobody noticed anything wrong.

"The place was hopping. We had a birthday party going on, the soccer side on the other side had leagues playing, so yeah we were busy,” Widell said.

Widell's first thoughts were that a business competitor was behind the heist or a potential burglar planning to steal from the sprawling complex.

Now Widell is working with police and asking for the public's help in identifying who stole his blueprints.

“I am hoping this might help identify the person,” Widell said. “We a very upset about it. We really don't know what happened so, as you know we do a lot of parties here, corporate events, things like that. We would be happy to give five thousand in Razzmatazz money to use here any way they see fit for helping identifying and getting this guy arrested and find out what's behind it.”
