All too often, kids don’t have the school supplies — pens, paper, notebooks and more — that they need to succeed in school. Teachers struggle to fill the gap without the resources they need.
So July 17-28, join NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago as we host a school supply drive across the Chicago area and suburbs. Donations will benefit students in programs at Boys & Girls Clubs and Community In Schools locations across our area.
Though the donation period ends July 28, if you still want to participate, monetary donations can be made to the Boys & Girls Clubs and Communities In Schools in the Chicago area.
Supporting Our Schools Drop-Off Locations
You can drop off school supply donations at more than 200 locations, including at T-Mobile, Carson’s and Xfinity stores. Several Metra locations will provide drop off locations July 25-27. Click here for a full list of donation locations.
Need ideas of what to donate? See the wish list of school supplies below. If you can’t make it to a location near you, you can still make a difference by donating funds directly to Boys & Girls Clubs and Communities In Schools in the Chicago area to help local kids in need start the school year off right.
Special thanks to the following for their partnership on this project: T-Mobile, Carson’s, Xfinity, Metra, Aramark, and Chicago Public Schools. Thank you for Making A Difference.
