More than an inch of snow accumulated in several areas in Chicago as of Saturday night and more is expected to fall by Sunday night.
A Winter Weather Advisory continues for McHenry and Lake counties in Illinois until noon and in Cook County until 3 p.m. Lake County and Porter County in Indiana are also under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m. Sunday.
Temperatures are expected to top out in the upper-20s Sunday after a cold front moved in earlier Sunday morning. Sub-zero wind chills are expected overnight and early Monday.
At the end of the two days, totals could reach between 1 and 3 inches.
Monday is expected to be partly sunny with clear skies, and temperatures likely will be in the single digits. Overcast skies on Tuesday could bring more snow south of I-80 with highs in the mid to upper-20s.
