A suburban man was arrested this week and stands accused of growing marijuana plants in a warehouse.
According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Maskin Gokhman of Grayslake was arrested Wednesday after he left a warehouse on West Nebraska Street in Elburn, IL. During a search, police say they found a half-pound of cannabis on his person, and arrested him on multiple outstanding warrants.
A search of the warehouse found approximately 200 cannabis plants, as well as 68 pounds of harvested cannabis. The estimated street value of the drugs was approximately $150,000, according to authorities.
Gokhman is facing five felony charges, including possession of more than 5000 grams of cannabis and manufacture or delivery of more than 30 but less than 500 grams of cannabis. He also is facing charges on a pair of outstanding warrants for DUI and for violating an order of protection.
