A 61-year-old man has been arrested after police say he called Lake County 911 claiming he killed several elementary school students in the county.

Robert J. Simmons has been charged with felony disorderly conduct after police allege he called a dispatcher Tuesday and said “I just killed 19 of your elementary school students in Lake County.”

Simmons, of the 3000 block of Belvidere Road in Waukegan, was identified as the potential caller during an investigation and was arrested shortly after, the Lake County Sheriff's office said. According to authorities, he later admitted he made the call.
