Police are warning residents in South Elgin to be extra vigilant after a string of home burglaries on Friday evening.
According to police, four different robberies took place between 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Friday. The thieves gained access to the four properties through an unlocked door or window, and stole electronics, U.S. currency, and other items, according to authorities.
The residences impacted were located on:
0-100 block of Pine Court
100 block of East Plum Street
600 block of East State Street
700 block of Robertson Road

South Elgin police are reminding residents to lock their doors and windows when they leave the house, and to keep an eye on any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
