StreetWise is Saved

After issuing a plea for help last week, Chicago's StreetWise magazine has been saved.

Donors stepped in to rescue the mag, which is sold on the streets by the homeless, providing them with jobs.

About $190,000 was donated, the Tribune reported, in amounts ranging from $3 all the way up to $35,000. The magazine had said it needed $75,000 to stay afloat.
