Police are searching for two teenagers they say duct taped a young boy to a pole and stole his candy at a suburban pool on Monday.
The incident took place at around 1 p.m. at Stingray Bay Family Aquatic Center in northwest suburban Huntley, according to a statement from Huntley police.
A woman reported that her two sons, ages 6 and 8, were using the outdoor fitness equipment at the park area next to the water park when they were approached by two teenagers on bicycles.
Authorities said one of the teens grabbed the 8-year-old boy's wrist, took and candy and then duct taped his wrist to a pole on the fitness equipment.
The teens then left the scene and the 6-year-old boy sought help from a park employee, according to police. The park employee cut the duct tape to release the boy and then contacted the mother, officials said.

The teens were described as wearing black shorts and black and green T-shirts with "Fortnite" logos, according to police, who said they were last seen riding their bikes toward Mill Street.
No one is in custody in connection with the incident, which remains under investigation with the assistance of the Huntley Park District, police said.
