Stadium Series: What Fans Need to Know

As fans and players prepare to battle bitter cold temps and even some snow Saturday, the NHL said its ready to take on the cold.

Officials plan to brew 2,500 gallons of hot chocolate to help keep fans warm during the game, and final preparations for turning the football mecca into an ice rink were underway Saturday morning.

Here's what fans will need to know ahead of the game:

  • Parking lots open at 3 p.m. for tailgaters
  • Spectator Plaza, a free hockey and entertainment festival, will be held from 3-7 p.m.
  • Gates open at 5 p.m.
  • Blankets are allowed
  • No bags bigger than 16x16x12 will be allowed
