Spring turned to winter in Chicago Monday as snow sprinkled nearly the entire area, leaving behind what will hopefully be some the last souveniers of the cold season.
The snowfall began in the western suburbs late Sunday, moving east into the city overnight and continuing through Monday morning.
Precipitation covered the entire region, and scattered light snow will keep falling through the morning. While there will be little to no accumulation for most, here's a look at some of the totals reported so far, according to the National Weather Service:
Hazel Crest: 2.5 inches
Romeoville: 2.3 inches
Joliet: 2.1 inches
Rockford Airport: 1.8 inches

Somonauk: 1.6 inches
Lombard: 1.5 inches
Marengo: 1.5 inches
O'Hare Airport: 1.4 inches
Evanston: 1.2 inches
Union: 1.1 inches
Midway Airport: 1 inch
