Topgolf Brings Incredible New Experience to Soldier Field

Topgolf Crush will be hosted at the iconic venue this week

Chicago’s Soldier Field is one of the most iconic sports stadiums in the country, and this week it will play host to an entirely new sports experience.

Beginning Friday, Topgolf Crush will take over Soldier Field, giving golfers the chance to tee it up at the home of the Bears. Combining Topgolf’s cutting-edge technology and the classic game of golf, players will get to experience Soldier Field in a whole new way.

“Everyone is looking for something different and Topgolf, what they’ve done, is bring their facilities to facilities like ours,” said Luca Serra, Director of Sponsorship & Media at Soldier Field.

The tee boxes for the event are set up in the south end zone, with Chicago’s iconic skyline in view.

“You’re aiming at targets out on the field from 40 yards to about 125 yards, so the fun part about Topgolf you don’t have to guess how it turned out,” said Brian Woerner, Topgolf Director of Global Partnerships.

That’s because there are multiple cameras equipped with the same tracer technology you see on the PGA Tour, which is used to automatically keep score for those playing the game.

“What they do is track every single shot from all 25 hitting bays at the same time, so not only can you see where the ball lands, but you can also turn around look at monitor and it will show you where it lands, how many points you got,” Woerner said.

Tee times are available beginning on Thursday, and can be booked on Topgolf’s website. According to Soldier Field officials, up to six players can participate in a given game, and in an hour-long session, golfers can play in four-to-five games.

“Whether you a pro golfer, a scratch golfer or never even picked up a club before, that’s the beauty of Topgolf. We’re out here to try to create fun memories,” Woerner said.

Food and beverages will be available for golfers, according to the company.
