Burglars Crash Car Into Versace Store at Suburban Outlet Mall, Police Say

Authorities are searching for several people responsible for a smash-and-grab burglary at the Versace Store in a suburban outlet mall.

The burglary took place at around 3:40 a.m. Monday at the Chicago Premium Outlet Mall in Aurora, Aurora police said in a statement.

Two vehicles - a white, newer-model sedan and a red SUV - drove through the courtyard and the sedan drove through the front doors of the store, according to police.

Several people exited both vehicles and entered the store, officials said, stealing an unknown amount of merchandise. Authorities said the cars were last seen heading west toward North Farnsworth Avenue.

Further information, including a description of the suspects, was not immediately available.
