Car Smashes Through Suburban Pawn Shop's Window

Not one, but four separate security cameras captured the moment when a car crashed Tuesday through the front window of a north suburban pawn shop.

A and B Jewelry and Loan owner Afrim Fejza had just opened up his store in Skokie on Dempster Street at 10 a.m. when a customer walked in.

On the security video, you see Fejza showing the customer some guitars. That’s when Fejza noticed someone trying to park their car but that parking job did not go well.

Fejza and the customer jump out of the way. Fejza ends up tripping over an amplifier and lands on an electrical box sitting on the floor.

"I have few little cuts," he said. "(I'll) get it checked out.”

Skokie police say it appears that the driver hit the gas instead of the brake when trying to park.

Besides Fejza, no one else suffered any injuries.

“No one got seriously hurt," Fejza said. "(I) need a vacation after this.”
