Six People Rescued From Elevator at Marina Towers

The Chicago Fire Department says that six people who were trapped in an elevator at the Marina City towers have been rescued. 

Firefighters were sent to the building around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening to the buildings, which are located at 290 North State Street in the Loop. 

According to fire officials, the elevator was stuck between floors of the building, forcing rescuers to repel down to the nearest floor. Rescuers had to pull people out of the elevator one at a time. 

No one has been reported injured, according to the fire department, and the rescue wrapped up around 7:20 p.m.
