Six to Nine Inches of Snow on the Way

Snow will likely affect Wednesday's evening commute

Here we snow again...

A strong weather system approaching from the northern plains is expected to dump six to nine inches of snow in the region beginning Wednesday afternoon or evening, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow is expected to be dry and to accumulate rapidly.

Lake-effect snow may add to the storm totals in areas south and east of Chicago.
