Singing UPS Driver Spreads Christmas Cheer in Naperville

A UPS spokesperson said the company supports Batts and his holiday cheer.

A local delivery driver is bringing joy to his customers with holiday cheer and music.

Brett Batts works for UPS and is becoming known as “Mr. Christmas” for singing to package recipients in Naperville.

“When they allow me to, I will definitely do it,” Batts said. “I’m always moving. So when I see that little window open, I seize the moment.”

A video of Batts singing a Christmas song to customers inside a clothing store in Naperville recently went viral on social media.

“To me, kindness and joy is kind of the meaning of Christmas,” Batts said. When I bring a package, I'm not only seeing the kindness, I'm bringing them joy, too.”

Batts also hand delivers hand-made paper snowflakes to people and he has sung at retirement homes and homeless shelters.

“Those people who can't give back and I give to them, that's what really matters,” Batts said.

A UPS spokesperson said the company supports Batts and his holiday cheer.

“Good customer service and positive relationships with our customers is always encouraged and what sets UPS apart,” the spokesperson said.

Mandy Dionisopoulos is the visual merchandising manager at Anthropologie in Naperville. She said Batts makes a difference every day he delivers packages to the store.

“It makes our day. Makes our customers’ day,” Dionisopoulos said. “Something really special.”
