Showers and Storms Make for Wet Wednesday in Chicago Area

After days of sunshine and mild temps, Wednesday will mark the return of stormy and muggy weather in the Chicago area.

Slow moving thrunderstorms made their way into the west and southwest suburbs as the moved toward Chicago.

Things are expected to quiet down heading into the early afternoon hours, but some isolated storms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening.

The storms bring with them the chance for heavy downpours and the potential for flooding.

Temperature highs will set between 80 and 84 degrees, but it will feel even warmer due to high humidity.

The storm threat continues into Thursday with scattered showers and storms likely through the morning and afternoon.

Things look to dry up Friday, with partly sunny, breezy and mild conditions.
