Police were investigating a shooting in suburban Oak Forest early Friday.
The shooting took place at around 2 a.m. in the area near 167th Street and Pulaski Road, according to Oak Forest police.
Police did not release any further details and it was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the shooting.
Law enforcement remained on the scene for several hours, walking with flashlights and searching for evidence.
The investigation temporarily shut down 167th Street from I-57 to Pulaski with officers canvassing the entire area.
