A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Cook County until 7:30 p.m. Friday evening.
Quarter size hail is possible with the storm, which is nearly stationary over Chicago's Lincoln Park and Lakeview neighborhoods.
The Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island was evacuated on Friday night due to lightning in the area, according to the venue. Concert-goers were asked to take shelter in parking structures around the venue, and are still being asked to stay indoors until the weather passes.
An earlier warning issued Friday evening for Cook and Will counties has expired, but more storms are possible through the evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm could pack wind gusts of up to 60 mph, and is moving slowly at just 10 mph over the affected areas.
Quarter-size hail is also possible with the storms, which could generate flooding in some locations.
Scattered thunderstorms, some possibly strong to severe, could develop across the area for the evening hours. Storms that do develop will be capable of producing hail and strong wind gusts with potentially heavy rain.
The greatest risk for storms sits between 4 and 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Much of the Chicago area, with the exception of some southern locations, is under the marginal risk for severe weather.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was already issued for Kane and McHenry counties Friday morning. The National Weather Service issued the warning around 9 a.m. when a severe thunderstorm was located over Marengo, moving east at 25 mph.
Friday began cloudy, mild and humid with showers and storms developing in the northern counties. After days of severe weather at times throughout the Chicago area, the region continues to be in a very hot to humid pattern for the next several days with periods of storms.
