Severe Thunderstorm Watch Expires in Illinois, Indiana

All severe weather watches and warnings in northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana have been allowed to expire. 

Kenosha County was under a Tornado Watch until 7 p.m., and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was briefly in effect for the county, but was canceled a short time later.  

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for most of northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana until 8 p.m., but outside of a brief warning in northwest Indiana, most storms remained below severe levels as the front passed through.

An Excessive Heat Warning, which was in effect throughout northeast Illinois for most of the weekend, was cancelled just before it expired at 7 p.m. as the storm front moved through the area.
