Series of Armed Robberies Reported in Englewood

Each robbery happened when people were doing rehab work

Police are warning South Side residents after a series of armed robberies were reported over the last few weeks in Englewood.

In each case, men walked into a vacant house when people were doing rehab work, displayed a gun and announced a robbery, Chicago police said. The robbers made off with undisclosed amounts of money.

The robberies happened:

At 2:30 p.m. July 22 in the 6800 block of South Elizabeth Street

At 9:40 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 7300 block of South Union Avenue

At 10:07 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 6300 block of South Damen Avenue

At 9:40 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 6200 block of South Loomis Boulevard

Police are looking for two men between the ages of 20 and 30, 5-foot-9 to 6-foot-3 and weighing 160-200 pounds.
