Dry Conditions Expected for Sunday's Marathon

After several days with rain in the forecast, it looks as though Sunday's Bank of America Chicago Marathon will be a dry one.

Any leftover showers from a Saturday system should move out of the area before the race begins.

Forecast models predict the day will start with temperatures in the 50s. The mercury will increast to the mid-60s by the afternoon, models show.

To stay prepared, runners should continue to check the forecast and dress in layers for the race.

The Chicago Marathon kicks off Sunday morning at Grant Park, with wave one runners starting at 7:30 a.m. If you can't make it out to watch, check out NBC Chicago's live-streaming coverage.
