Search crews are recovering a body after a boater disappeared in a north suburban lake, Antioch fire department officials said.
Police said a 62-year-old man was reported missing around 2 p.m. Thursday in West Loon Lake. He was on a boat with his friend when they decided to go for a swim.
The man couldn't get back into the boat and disappeared under the water, police said. The friend jumped in to help him and had to be rescued by a passing boat.
There's no confirmation as to whether the recovered body is that of the missing man.
