This week, GOP presidential candidate Scott Walker will make his second trip to Illinois since announcing his candidacy.

The Wisconsin governor is scheduled to deliver remarks at the DuPage County GOP Summer Reception Thursday afternoon. The event is held at Carlucci's Restaurant in suburban Downers Grove, located at 1801 Butterfield Road. The Downers Grove event begins at 11:30 a.m.

According to Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times, Walker will also make a stop in Chicago during his Illinois visit to headline a fundraiser for the "Citizens for Durkin" campaign fund. Sweet reports that Walker and Republican Rep. Jim Durkin will appear together at the event to show Durkin's support for Walker.

The fundraising event will take place at the Peninsula Hotel, located at 108 E. Superior.

Walker's first stop in Illinois since announcing his candidacy was in late July when he appeared at the Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago to shake hands and chat with voters. He also made a stop at the Union League Club in Chicago as well as attended a "meet and greet" event with GOP congressional candidate Darin LaHood in Bloomington.

Walker's second Illinois visit will only last one day. On Friday, he'll make his way to Nevada for another event.
